Profile Description
In the spirit of adventure, Dr. Nicole Jackson left New York to complete her undergraduate studies in Los Angeles. She received her Bachelor of Science from Loyola Marymount University and then took a gap year to work as a dental assistant. Dr. Jackson chose to relocate to the East Coast for dental school and earned her DMD from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in Newark, New Jersey. Dr. Jackson completed her residency at Westchester Medical Center, a Level-1 trauma hospital, where she advanced in oral surgery and general dentistry training. During this time, she was mentored by a facial plastic surgeon in the usage of injectables to optimize the cosmetic results of trauma cases. She has since pursued ongoing training in cosmetics and is now an AAFE-certified injector for both Botox and dermal fillers and looks forward to introducing these services to the Somers Smiles community next year. Dr. Jackson is competent in and enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, including cosmetics, Invisalign®, endodontics, prosthodontics, periodontics, and oral surgery. She is a member of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, and the Ninth District Dental Association. She prides herself on earning her patient's trust through honesty and high-quality care. She works to create an environment of understanding and encouragement that puts patients at ease. Her hope is that over time you might even have some fun in the chair and look forward to coming back! On a personal note, Dr. Jackson fell in love with Westchester County during her residency and now resides in Irvington, NY, with her husband, Joe, and their two cats, Jurema and Zer0. When not spending time with family, you can find her reading, exercising, cooking, or crafting.
